Children Dept. News for April 2020
I hope each of you are staying safe and healthy during our time apart. I sure miss seeing all of the kids’ smiling faces at church. The weather has been very beautiful, I hope you have been able to be outside and enjoy God's creation. I know in all of the uncertainty, we need to remember that God is in control, all-knowing, and is with us during this time. We can use this time to slow down and spend time with our family and enjoy the simple things in life, not worrying about the hustle and bustle of life. I encourage each of you to take time daily to be in the Word with your children and as a family. What greater time to study and prepare for the Easter season as a family. On Wednesday nights, we have been using the Gospel Project curriculum, I feel that the kids have been enjoying the lessons and learning a lot during our time together. I had ordered the Easter one for us to do. Since we are unable to meet, I have been thinking of ways to do the lessons and praying how we should do it. God keeps bringing to my mind to just share the information for each lesson and let this be a time that each family can come together and study the Easter Story. What greater joy for a parent than to disciple your own child.
