Valentine Letter:

Dear (Young Lady),

Here’s just a little Valentine message to accompany your special gift bag:

How’s your love life?
No doubt you’ll hear this question many times over the next ten years. Not that it’s anyone else’s business. It’s merely a nosey question people feel compelled to ask teens.

No one needs to ask that question on Valentines Day. We sometimes try to measure our own worth or status by what we receive on that day. Some of us are lucky or blessed in that area. Most of us are lacking and feel it, usually more deeply than we should.

Thankfully this is NOT the measure of your worth. You are  worth so much more than what you might feel on any given day. Circumstances can change almost as rapidly as a traffic signal. We each need a confidence that lifts and holds us above our circumstance.

There is one special Valentine we have all received but often overlook. The Bible is God’s Love Letter to each of us that outshines them all. Most teen “loves” are fickle and temporary, which is normal because you’re all just trying out new feelings and relationships. Guys especially push the physical issues beyond reasonable limits. (Don’t fall for it!)  Lol

God’s Love is very personal. He loved you before you even knew yourself—when you were being formed inside your mother.
(Jeremiah 1:5   Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.)

He keeps us close to Himself
(Isaiah 49:16   Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.)

His Love is permanent and dependable.
(Hebrews 13:5   I will never leave you nor forsake you.)

He cares for you.
(1 Peter 5:6-7    Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.)

His love is a free gift.
We don’t have to earn it.
(Ephesians 2:8.  For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.)

His Love is sacrificial.
(John 3:16    For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall  not perish but have everlasting life.)

He wants the best for you.
(Jeremiah 29:11   “For I know the plans I have for you,” says The Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”)

It is our prayer that you will cling to God’s Promises and read His Word daily to gain courage, strength, and wisdom as you make your way through these pivotal years of your life. It’s quite a journey, but you can make it through with confidence in knowing You are loved, cared for, and cherished.

Always remember how much God loves you. And this Valentines Day, just know that we love you too and hope you enjoy your special Valentine gifts. YOU ARE PRECIOUS IN GOD’s SIGHT AND ALSO IN OURS. We hope and pray you know that for sure.

Always in His Great Love,

Your Pampering & Prayers Team
