2017 Pampered & Prayers Tea Part Fashion Show

"Come and listen all who fear God and I will tell you what He has done for me." Psalm 66:16

Lewis Smith, NC Baptist Children's Home, used this verse in our November Pampering & Prayers get together.  Ten of us listened and marveled at his life story.  He encouraged us to know God's promise: I will never leave or forsake you.  Our Sister in Christ, Dolly Rice ,sponsored November meeting. Her comment although long distance, it is so good to stay connected to Pampering & Prayers.   $50 provides Christmas for one child at Broyhill Baptist Children's Home Girls presented check to Lewis Smith and lunch macaroni & cheese,( all the girls favorite) sausage rolls, veggie tray and fruit tray. Thanks to manna various drinks provided After lunch girls were anxious to "shop" at our site, taking home boots, outfits and jewelry.  Birthday watches to Hannah S and Abbe C thanks again Nancy Huffines. 

Girls preparing gift wrapped soup bowls, soup, peanut butter and crackers, hot chocolate packet with candy cane  for  kid's food bag ministry Christmas take home. Our packed 10 shoeboxes were delivered.  Blessed to have "our place" to meet, listen, pray, laugh, shop and eat. Thank you Abbe, Celia, Abigail, Kenitra, Katelynn, Josie, Anna, Hannah, Rylee, Jayden, Kyia, Meredith, Laura, Kelley, Susie and Nancy.

Manna delivered two pallets of mini muffins to share with our Andrews students. We now have a local bread connection sharing with Monday night meal, hungry families, AMS  community Thanksgiving meal. Thanks to manna and Sam Mabry green beans for community meal. Our church had donations of door prizes for this community meal.  Our food packer Victoria invited us to her baby shower.  Dorcas and I enjoyed taking gift bag with "baby boy" figurine,booties and Amazon gift cards Thank you Terry & Laura Postell, James Bolick, Bill Huffines, Kathy Nichols and Robert. Food bag to adopted child was appreciated. Thank you to Ingles manager, Shannon,  for providing bags for this ministry. Peanut butter, jelly and bread to AES along with apples and  boxes of snacks  thanks to manna.

Operation Help/Hope shared shirts and ties with mentally challenged adult that enjoys "dressing up" daily. His appreciation was expressed with a thank you and smile. Again thanks to manna, shared personal care items with Joyce and Donald Hogan's Care Ministry, Vaughns homeless ministry, several needy families that Second Baptist ministers to, shared with Oak Grove in their supplying clothes for foster boy.
