Pampering & Prayers: This scripture Mary Smith shared in her devotional August 18.  After our program on interior design, the girls had fun "matching" colors, textures, and prints from fabric swatches.  Then Mary shared her testimony about her dream to go to school. When her dream was placed on hold while beginning her family she kept God's light on her path urging the girls to dream and to follow their dream.

Six girls present and 6 Sisters in Christ enjoyed lunch. Take home items food, hygiene products and items from our clothing selection. August 11 Susie Bryant and I traveled to Murphy First Baptist for Truett Baptist Association Pampering & Prayers work shop Though the generosity of three couples in our church, our girls were given  $75 for  shopping at Burke's.  After shopping til we dropped, we had lunch at Main Street .So blessed Dolly  with us.  This day our devotion was Psalm 143:1 'Hear my prayer O Lord, give ear to my supplication in Thy faithfulness answer me." A true story from a single mom with a need for house insurance ; after asking God to provide work for $16200 she had an unexpected job and her pay-- $162.50!  Thank you Bettie for getting us a huge supply of teen clothes. We truly believe our group is rightly named. Each meeting the girls are ready to share prayer requests and prayer praise reports. Thank      you church for providing a place where we feel a sweet Spirit present in our place.

Operation Help/Hope ministry provided large donation of baby and toddler clothes for Marble Springs mission trip. 96 toothbrushes & toothpaste bags to give out first day of school at AES for pre K and kindergarten. Thank you Andrews First Baptist for your generous donation  $742 to AES for school supplies $742 to AMS.  After purchasing earbuds for each student at AMS;  additionally we have funds available for supplies needed. Thank you to the Huffines for meeting a specific need for a senior at AHS. AHS principal Dr. Lisa Fletcher, selected principal of the year for Cherokee County schools.

Set up tutoring discussion with Young at Heart.  Attended 5th grade open house at AMS, presenting information on Pampering & Prayers, Kid's Food Bags and "free" eye exams. School supplies for GA mission work.

Kid's Food Bags will begin September 21.  We are excited to have a new packer. This school year new Sysco delivery schedule.
