Ah yes, March is here with the wearing of the green, St. Patrick’s Day, the Ides of March etc. Cities turn their rivers green to honor St. Patrick’s Day, corn beef and cabbage the meal of choice, the Shamrock is elevated as favored plant for a month. March 8th begins Day Light Savings time (turn clocks forward 1 hour), and March 20th is first day of Spring (ground hog got it right).
With all that in mind, March is our annual collection of the Annie Armstrong offering which goes to support our North American Missionaries. We will be promoting this offering all of March by focusing on “Egg Money for Annie.” This Sunday, March 1st, calendars, instruction sheet and buckets will be available for everyone out in the foyer. Don’t leave church without your calendar and bucket. We will return the “egg money” on Easter Sunday and will fill up the container provided. We will report the final tabulation to the church the Sunday after Easter. Our goal is $4,500 so we might need more than just coins. Envelopes for offering are available on the table outside the sanctuary as well as in your box of envelopes. Let’s make our goal and exceed it as we’ve done in past years.
Other events in March”-
March 4th-WMU meets 4:30 pm at church. All ladies are invited.
March 19th, Young At Heart Luncheon will be at 11:30 am. and March 29th will be Palm Sunday and our Easter Cantata.
Many events to take part in so avail yourself to be a part of one or all opportunities.
