Young At Heart News for March 2026

Over 30 folks enjoyed the Jake Buchanan                  annual Valentine Supper in the church's                   fellowship hall on Sunday, February 15. Following a delicious potluck meal, several folks were awarded door prizes, including the vase centerpieces on the                     tables that had been fashioned by Bonnie and Norma. Others who helped decorate the tables included Jeanette and Faye. Our student pastor, Warren, then led in a game called "Bible Jeoparty." A good time was had by all! Special thanks to all who stayed to help clean up. Many hands always make light work!

March will again feature our annual Corned Beef and Cabbage meal. You are encouraged to come with the "wearing of the green." A speaker from the United Community banking facility will speak to us regarding fraud, which should be an interesting topic. It will be held Thursday, March 19, at 11:30 a.m. in the church's fellowship hall.

Current prayer requests are for Ronney Craig as she has surgery March 6. Her husband, Gene, will be having some treatments for his back and hips. Also remember Kelly Richter and Judy Fitzpatrick for some serious physical needs. Please continue to pray for Jim                Lancaster, Jeannie Huscusson, Ray Hyde, Robin              Gibson, Pat Sealy, Wanda Beck, Pat Reed, Linda                Graham, and Bill Mintz. Others needing our continuing prayers include Jackie Higdon, Nancy Huffines, Ruth Cochran, Lee Ellen Rickett, Charlotte Clutton, Louise Phillips and her son Larry as her caregiver, Johnnie Brock, Dolly Rice, Darrell Dailey, Tricia Dailey's sister, Michelle, Burke West, Kenneth and Priscilla Cope, Cricket Gray, Marilyn Raxter, Reba Gibson, Kathy Nichols, Barb Jones, Tim Tyler, and Mark and Phoebe Jackson. If you know of anyone else to be added to our prayer list (or removed from it), please give Ronney Craig a call at 321-5512.

It is our privilege to continue to regularly remember our Pastor Calvin and his family, student pastor Warren Carlile, deacons and their families, Jennifer Farr and musicians, teachers, and leaders in the various Sunday and Wednesday evening classes, and each one who has a unique part in making Andrews First Baptist Church a lighthouse for Jesus. Pray for the safety of our students and staff as they go to school each day, also those in college. Pray, too, for those driving to and from work each day; and always remember our military keeping us safe, as well as our first responders. Pray for our              country ~ and the state of the Union ~ and President Trump!
